Terms

Terms of service

The agreement between you and Selfsupervised Cloud for using train.cloud.

Draft

This set of terms is a working draft written from what the system actually does. It has not been reviewed by counsel and is not a binding agreement. If you need the reviewed version before committing to anything, ask us at arijit.das@selfsupervised.de.

The service

train.cloud captures work from your coding agents, trains models on it, and serves those models back to you. It is currently in private beta: features change, and availability is not guaranteed.

Border Collie is separate, and it is Apache-2.0

Border Collie is open source under the Apache License 2.0 and is governed by that licence, not by these terms. You can run it, modify it and redistribute it under Apache-2.0 whether or not you ever use train.cloud. Nothing here restricts a right that licence grants you.

Your data and your weights

You keep ownership of everything you bring: your code, your traces, your uploads. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service for you — to store that data, run the training you asked for, and serve the result back.

Models trained on your data are yours. You can export the weights. We do not use your data to train models served to other customers unless you separately opt in.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • attempt to access another tenant's data, or probe isolation boundaries without telling us first (see Security);
  • upload material you do not have the rights to use;
  • use the service to generate malware, or content that is unlawful where you operate;
  • resell raw compute, or run workloads unrelated to the product.

Fees

Paid plans are billed through Stripe on the terms shown at checkout. Border Collie is free. During private beta, pricing may change with notice.

Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaches the acceptable-use section, and will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

Still to be settled

Pending counsel review, these terms do not yet state:

  • Warranty disclaimers and the limitation-of-liability cap.
  • Governing law, jurisdiction, and dispute resolution.
  • Any service-level commitment, and what happens if it is missed.
  • Refund and cancellation mechanics beyond what Stripe shows at checkout.
  • How changes to these terms are notified, and the effective date.

Until those are settled, treat this page as a description of intent rather than a contract.
